A whole different way of doing church and the Nativity. Let messy mayhem reign as you join us on Sunday morning for an hour of Christmas crafts, games and activities for the whole family. Then enjoy a short, interactive Nativity service that explores the events of the original Christmas with the help of everyone in the congregation.
Children (and adults!) are welcome to come dressed up as shepherds, angels, or kings, or they can put together a costume while they’re here, or just join in as they are to help act out the Nativity. No lines to learn or weeks of rehearsal.
Things can go wrong and it all gets a bit messy (just like the original Christmas, if you think about it!), but it’s also joyous and heartwarming and fun. To round off the morning, help yourself to a mince pie or two with your cuppa. All welcome (but children, please make sure you bring your adult/s along). No charge.
The four Advent candles are lighted on successive Sundays before Christmas. Opinions differ about the meaning of each candle, and the order!
We’re going with Hope, Joy, Peace and Love. The fifth candle, lighted on Christmas morning, represents Christ.
