Knowing Jesus Through Prayer

Reading: John 17:1-19Continuing his thoughts about prayer, Dave talks about the way in which everything Jesus did was in line with the Father’s will: He said, “I do nothing on my own initiative“.  In the same way, our prayer lives must be much more than a ‘shopping list’.  We need to be cultivating a life of prayer which continually draws us deeper into the Lord’s will for our lives.

For What Are You Thankful?

An excellent and very heart-felt message on thankfulness from the ever-popular Ian Jennings.  Ian’s new book “By a Departing Light”, will be available from Amazon (and Beacon Books, he said hastily! 😀) in the next couple of weeks.   Readings: Psalm 92: 1-15, Luke 17:11-19.

Teach Me How to Pray

Why do we pray?  How do we pray?  When do we pray?  In this morning’s message, Dave talks about the centrality of prayer; the need to fully embrace what it means to be a friend of God in our ongoing conversation with Him. Readings: Luke 11:1-13, 1 Tim 2:1-7
